Most of the abstract photos that I've taken have involved water. Someday I'll have some time with a rainbow eucalyptus to explore its patterns; in the meantime there are plenty of more monochromatic birch trees around.
This really looks like a fabric sculpture to me.
In fact, I may just have added another project to my mental list...
