This is a comment thread for the current poll. For gifts that you receive, do you care what they are wrapped in? Do you want them to be wrapped at all? Does tearing paper feel more fun or more satisfying than opening a cardboard box?

This year a number of the gifts I received were wrapped in batik fabric scraps, which we can quilt with or reuse as wrapping indefinitely. I loved it -- I still got the fun of the reveal, and it felt more environmentally friendly (albeit in a very small way).
I like to open the wrapping, myself...
